Freshfields advises AviAlliance during sale of Budapest Airport

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised AviAlliance, one of the world’s leading private airport investors and managers, and its minority co-shareholders on legal provisions regarding the sale of Budapest Airport. Purchaser is a consortium consisting of Hungarian state-owned Corvinus Zrt. and French co-investor Vinci Airports. The transaction was successfully completed.

All necessary regulatory approvals had been obtained before. Consequently, a transferral of ownership to the buying consortium took immediate effect. AviAlliance had been invested in the airport serving the capital of Hungary and the country itself since 2007.

The Freshfields team was led by Partner Simone Kämpfer and comprised Partner Daniel Travers, Principal Associate Marcel Michaelis (all Düsseldorf), Partner Ben Morgan and Associate Fiona McHugh (both London, all Compliance).
