Freshfields advises GlasfaserPlus on its €2.15 billion financing
Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised GlasfaserPlus GmbH (‘GlasfaserPlus’) on a €2.15 billion infrastructure financing. The financing is provided by a syndicate of banks comprising BNP Paribas, LBBW, UniCredit, Crédit Agricole, National Westminster Bank and NatWest and consists of a Capex and a revolving credit facility.
GlasfaserPlus was established through a joint venture between Deutsche Telekom and IFM Global Infrastructure Fund. GlasfaserPlus has secured this financing to advance its planned fibre roll-out in rural areas of Germany.
Freshfields advised GlasfaserPlus on all legal aspects of the financing. The team comprised partner Frank Laudenklos, Counsel Alexander Pospisil and Alexander Ruschkowski, Principal Associate Jessica McBride as well as Associates Laura Korndörfer and Lucas Lengersdorf (all Finance, Frankfurt). Tax law support was provided by Partner Martin Schiessl and Associates Julian Langner and Sebastian Jung (all Frankfurt).
