Profil Thomas Métayer
Avocat à la cour, Thomas is a counsel in our international tax practice group.
He has an extensive expertise in corporate tax and is particularly involved in the structuring and tax aspects of M&A and private equity transactions, and works for key players in a wide range of industries.
He also advises on the tax aspects of complex reorganisations in a domestic and international context, and has developed a strong practice in real estate transactions.

- Advising Astorg on the acquisition of Steliau group.
- Advising the Hitachi Rail group on the sale of a French subsidiary operating in the communications-based train control line of business.
- Advising AstraZeneca on its acquisition of Amolyt Pharma.
- Advising la Française des Jeux on its public takeover bid for the entire share capital of Kindred.
- Advising VINCI Highways on the acquisition of NWP HoldCo LLC.
- Advising VINCI Airports on the tax and structuring aspects of its joint-venture with GIP to acquire London Gatwick Airport and Edinburgh Airport.
- Advising CCR in the acquisition of a majority stake in CCR Re by the consortium formed by the SMABTP and MACSF groups.
- Advising a consortium of senior lenders on the financial restructuring of Groupe Casino.
- Advising STMicroelectronics on the creation of a new, jointly-operated semiconductor manufacturing facility with GlobalFoundries, based in France.
- Advising PAI Partners on its € 885 m take private of Ecotone and subsequent reorganisations and recapitalisations.
- Advising Solvay on the carve out of its Polyamides business.
- Advising EDF, the French utility, on the € 2bn acquisition of a majority stake in Framatome, Areva's nuclear reactors division.
