Profil Fan Li
Fan is a senior associate based in our Shanghai office. Her practice focuses on PRC employment matters in an advisory and transactional context. Fan advises on the employment aspects of the implementation of international transactions in China, and provides executive terminations, collective redundancy exercises, share incentive plans, labour dispatching, expatriate immigration and other day to day employment law advice to various companies.
Fan has completed two client secondments, most recently to PayPal assisting with the post close employment and general corporate work of its acquisition of a Chinese payment company and the other to Alibaba assisting with its daily implementation of employee share incentive plans.
Fan has written various articles on the employment and workplace issues in China (China Daily, Caixin, Freshfields Risk & Compliance blog and Digital blog).
Fan is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Mandate
- Advising PayPal on the employment and benefits aspects of its acquisition of a Chinese payment company and post transaction employee integration.
- Advising Alibaba on its daily implementation and administration of the onshore and offshore employee share incentive plans in CHina.
- Advising a major US pharmaceutical company on its establishment of employee representative congress in China.
- Advising multinational companies, including BMW, Siemens, AB InBev, Continental, Gulfstream, Jack Wolfskin, on their executive and expatriates’ employment issues in China.
