Profil Yann Gozal

Yann is a partner in our Paris Corporate practice group. He advises private equity funds and financial institutions on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, hybrid investments, as well as and stock exchange transactions. He also advises on IPO exits and public to private transactions.

Admitted to the Paris Bar and to the New York Bar in 2000, he holds a LLM from Cornell University, a PhD in International Law from Institut du Droit de la Paix et du Développement (Nice) and a maîtrise in business and tax law from University of Lyon III.

Mandate

  • Advised ADIA on the acquisition, aside PAI, of Alvest Holding.
  • Advised Blackstone on the take private of French headquartered L'Occitane from the Hong Kong stock exchange.
  • Advised Blackstone on the take private of SII.
  • Advised CVC Capital Partners and Stock Spirits group in the context of their negotiations to acquire the Dugas group.
  • Advised Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) on on the sale of the railway operations of Bombardier, Bombardier Transport, by Alstom for $8.4bn.
  • Advised Charterhouse Capital Partners in the business combination of Mirion Technologies, Inc. and GS Acquisition Holdings Corp II.
  • Advised Charterhouse Capital Partners, and their portfolio companies Serb SAS and Stark International Lux (together, Serb), on Serb's acquisition of Boston Scientific Corporation's specialty pharmaceutical business for $800m.
