Profil Nomi Conway

Nomi Conway is an associate in the strategic risk and crisis management practice affiliated with the Washington, DC office. Her practice includes helping clients navigate high-stakes government investigations, congressional investigations and other crises, and advising on tech and data issues, including compliance with cutting-edge content moderation regulations like the Digital Services Act.

Nomi has an extensive background in privacy and cybersecurity and is a pragmatic advisor to technology companies. She has worked with clients to prepare for and respond to cybersecurity incidents, build out law enforcement response compliance programs, and design and conduct risk assessments of content moderation practices. Before law school, Nomi worked on the information security team at Square. As a product manager, she managed the company’s authentication platform and specialized in account takeovers. She also served as a digital security fellow in residence at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center and consulted for a large, international human rights organization on a project to assess the content moderation policies of social media companies.  In law school, as a student in Berkeley Law’s Samuelson Clinic, Nomi helped draft Privacy Policies for the City of Oakland, which the City unanimously adopted in March 2020. She also helped to found a pioneering cybersecurity clinic at Berkeley’s Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, which continues to support politically vulnerable organizations across the globe.
